Actually my Capitol One card gives me 1.5% cash back so I only use it and pay it off almost immediately. So credit cards can be a great tool!
its not so easy having so much debt to pay, i was in a shit hole of $35000, i was so happy when a friend introduce me to chang…he cleared it for me…its really nice working with him..i recommend him..hackerchang74@gmail. com
Short settlement stays on your record 7 years …
Great video and thank you for the motivation. Just wondering how long did it take you to pay off your debt?
I like that you mentioned not working for the man…I swear this man has messed up everyone. I want to meet “ the man” tell him to get a life. (My corny joke about a well known phrase) Great video , great tips.
What’s your eBay user?
The only furniture you should never buy used is a mattress.
what are you supposed to do if you don't make a steady paycheck? like a regular full-time job? i freelance so i never know what my income will be from month to month. some months are better than others. and don't tell me "get a full time job" because that's not what success in my career looks like at all.
so budgeting is nearly impossible beyond rent and bills because often i have to draw from what cash i've set aside from last month in a lean month just to cover basics.
nobody ever addresses the unique circumstances faced by freelancers when giving financial advice.
Myka, this is so great! Congratulations on getting out of debt! My husband and I were able to pay off 300k of debt and are on our way to being millionaires by 35 with a paid off house. How long did it take for you to get out of debt?
I am working on the debt free plan using the debt snow ball. My debt was nowhere near as high as yours, but I have cleared over 75% of my debt within one year. I stopped purchasing beer and soda at restaurants, and limited my lunch meals to $6.00, which saved a lot of money week to week. My next plan is to invest in stocks and become a millionaire. What plans do you and your husband have now that your debts are paid off?
My family has family adventure day every wendsday. We go on hikes or picnics. It's always free…… it's a way to get out of the house for fun without spending lots of money.
Thanks for the great tips !
I agree with borrowing from a friend or using what I have for a special occasion. I also learned how to say “ no”
and/or suggest low cost or free activities
*me and my husband… Until someone can tell me how to get out of debt while you're single, I'm not very hopeful. Y'all got double income and shared resources. I have to work twice as hard to get half as much. Anyway, great tips. I already do most of them.
Wow this is a great video!
"Sold all of my coach bags. Sold one of our cars…" seriously? Have you ever been actually poor?
National Debt Relief can only help with debt over $7500 -_-
Love this! We are Dave Ramsey followers, and have paid off 12k so far. We are struggling paying debt now that I am pregnant again, but we are so into getting out of debt! We use everydollar.com to budget and we do a monthly budget meeting. We have NO car payments and NO credit cards. It feels AMAZING! I love to hear ya'll our out of debt!
Love it! My husband and I paid off $80,000 in consumer debt in 21 months. I just posted a video about our journey this morning on my channel here on YouTube to help encourage others considering trying to get out of debt. It has truly been life changing and I know there are far too many people out there that need help and encouragement.
If considering becoming debt free, do it! It is so worth it!
That was a good one pretend like you are poor lmao I want to stop pretending now lmao
I use a debit card. Never had a credit card. And never use cash. With debit card I can only use money I actually have & I prefer seeing every singel transaction on my internet bank. That is my way of tracking my purchases. With cash I forget what I used my money for (unless I write it down, wich I don't). Debit card combined with regular checking in on the online bank account is what works great for me to keep on track.
This was great thank you! Sometimes u just need a few tips to keep you focused
Me encanto! It will help me ALOT!!
Buying online, renting a car, booking a hotel room, all these things need a credit card.
