As I’m closing out my 2018 Year in Review, I wanted to take a look at home much money I put to debt this entire year. I went through each of my current debts from 2018 (4 in total: 1 credit card, 2 student loans and 1 car loan) and looked at how much I paid. These payments are both principal and interest, but it’s crazy how much I did this year and how much room for improvement I still have on my debt free journey. What are you doing in 2019 to tighten your budget to hit your financial goals?

Make sure you adjust your withholdings if you haven't already. Almost $500/month the government is holding for you interest free…
Well you’re also gonna be getting a 2019 tax return so that’s something to look forward to also

I love your planners!!! So motivating !!!!
It’s great…but please don’t move the paper so much ?
Great layout. The quarterly color code is a style I haven’t seen around much. Great idea! Wishing you the best on your journey. You’re doing great. Any tips on starting your beginner emergency fund? How’d you do it? ??
I love seeing debt paid off and it encourages me to get ours paid off
Congrats! Keep up the good work and don’t forget to claim a tax deduction for your student loan interest!
With the graduated student loan repayment plan extra payments will accelerate your plan to have higher minimum payments. Just an FYI.
wow, what an amazing year. congrats on paying off two debts:) this is a great lay out and analysis
That was really informative. I am looking at laying mine out monthly in my budget this year but may borrow the idea of a summary at the end of the year. Our goal is $15K paid off this year so we will see how it goes. Good luck with this year's pay off!
Wow- that is a great amount of debt payoff! I know its hard to think what else you could do with that money BUT a lot of it is your education. I know there is no "good" debt but I'm easier on myself about student loans then credit card debt. The education is more "worth" it to me if that makes sense. I guess thats why I'm a little easier on myself, or WAS easier on myself, about student loan debt. You're killing it, I look forward to see where you land next year for this video. 😀
Looks solid!
Congrats on paying off $20,000 of debt. Major accomplishment. I love your layout.
Great video. Keep it going Ryan. Maybe at the bottom of the page since you have some room left do a Beg debt balance and an ending balance to keep you focus for 2019. You are doing great. I've been debt free for 18months and it's awesome but I have trained my mind to keep sending that money to my savings instead. Trying to buy a house this year. 🙂
Loved this video! It's incredible looking at it all for the year. It gives you such a huge boost bc you can truly SEE the progress. I equate this to taking measurements when you start working out. Keep crushing it and thank you for sharing!
When you lay it out like this, it’s amazing to see how much you did pay off! Way to crush it!!!
This was an interesting way to view things! I've tried undebt it and I like it. I don't pay for it – just the free version. My goal this year is to put at least $20,000 towards my student loans, but I'm really hoping I can do more like $25,000.
