The question arises whether once a Consumer has settled all their accounts (except a home loan) whether a debt review court order should be rescinded?
Vanessa Johst, discussed why it is not necessary to do rescind a court order.

Hi Vanessa, thank you so much for the straight-to-the-point and concise information on this matter. I'm currently looking at having the debt review flag removed under my name, I paid almost all my accounts with only two outstanding. I have approached a debt counselor and they are asking me to pay in order for them to remove the flag. I understand that this is my fault because my former debt counselor advised me to pay all my accounts and submit paid-up letters, then they issue me with a clearance certificate. I'm searching for the shortest way to achieve this, but I'm not sure if it's financially sound. What advice or recommendations would you give in this situation? I believe my situation is covered by the same section of the National Credit Act that you mentioned; the latter option, you mentioned.
Hi Vanessa,
Thank you for your useful information, I get many enquiries on this topic, what do I do as a debt councilor when the consumer is unable to get any cooperation from the debt councilor and or unable to get hold of the debt existing debt councilor?
