And what is the debt service on that Billion $$$$$$?
At 20 years and 6.5% that would be approx. $9,000,000 a month.
And what is this man doing to cover the debt service?
If you wish to help people, don't push them to be slaves of the banks but to be DEBT FREE!

Why would banks not want you to know how to borrow in a smart way?

@TrendVerge says:

Unlike others, I genuinely have no savings to speak of. This isn’t just one of those situations where people say, "I have no money," but then miraculously find £2,000 tucked away. No, I have nothing. Even immigrants who pay £3,000 to come to this country are in a better financial position than I am.

Coming from a country where entrepreneurship is more common and regulations are less restrictive, I can confidently say that the UK presents a stark contrast. Here, it seems only those who already have money can start a business. The amount of red tape and regulations is overwhelming. For every pound you earn, if you initially rely on public funding, the system punishes you harshly.

I can say with absolute certainty that I have never met anyone on Universal Credit who successfully started a business because the system simply doesn't allow it. In countries like America and South Africa, it's possible to start a part-time business and contribute to the economy. But here, you're penalized heavily for trying unless you have sufficient start-up funds.

Every entrepreneur I've encountered had at least £5,000 to £15,000 in savings before they even considered starting a business. The government expects those without jobs to start repaying loans from month one, which is completely unrealistic. This essentially forces the business to turn a profit immediately, which any experienced entrepreneur will tell you is nearly impossible, especially on a £500 start-up budget. If anyone can tell me how to start a profitable business with £500 from month one after extensive research, I'd gladly do it. But from what I’ve seen, it’s impossible.

The government gives you £500, expects repayments from the first month, and then penalizes you by withholding housing support. This is why I’ve never met an entrepreneur who’s been on Universal Credit—the system is designed to keep people poor.

I’m stuck searching for jobs I can’t do due to how my brain works, and for the skills I do have, employers don’t want to hire me because of my "lack of experience." And yes, I have a bachelor’s degree and am currently pursuing a Master’s.

Every single one of those dollars you borrowed and didn't need, devalued the dollars of people struggling paycheck to paycheck. So you could avoid taxes.
