When I started getting out of debt I only had a few thousand dollars to pay off. I earned around $5200 a year and was able to chip away at it. I am about finished paying off the debt I had and have added another job to help me start saving. Even on a very small income we can work on getting rid of debt and saving for the future. Baby steps gets us to where we need to be. It may not always be easy but God leads us to where we need to be.
